Luscious Lemon Bars

These easy, luscious lemon bars are perfect for dessert. They are sweet and rich in flavor. Very refreshing!



2 lemons (juiced, seeds removed)

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup butter (softened)

2 cups white sugar

4 large eggs


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Combine softened butter, flour (2 cups), and white sugar (1/2 cup) in a bowl. Press the mixture into the bottom of a pan (9×13 inch).
  3. Bake for 20 minutes or until firm and golden brown.
  4. Using a separate bowl, combine remaining sugar and flour, eggs, as well as the lemon juice. Top baked crust with the mixture.
  5. Bake for another 20 minutes.
  6. Allow to cool and then slice into 2-inch squares.


It is important that you allow the lemon bars to cool off before slicing them. This should give them enough time to firm up.
