These easy, luscious lemon bars are perfect for dessert. They are sweet and rich in flavor. Very refreshing!

Ingredients
2 lemons (juiced, seeds removed)
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup butter (softened)
2 cups white sugar
4 large eggs
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Combine softened butter, flour (2 cups), and white sugar (1/2 cup) in a bowl. Press the mixture into the bottom of a pan (9×13 inch).
- Bake for 20 minutes or until firm and golden brown.
- Using a separate bowl, combine remaining sugar and flour, eggs, as well as the lemon juice. Top baked crust with the mixture.
- Bake for another 20 minutes.
- Allow to cool and then slice into 2-inch squares.
Notes
It is important that you allow the lemon bars to cool off before slicing them. This should give them enough time to firm up.
