Description
If you look at the ingredients and instructions, you can easily know that this recipe is so simple to prepare. Indeed, with only five ingredients and three basic steps, it is quite unbelievable to come up with a very delectable dessert.
Of course, you may have had chocolate muffles as desserts in the past. But this one is not just a ball of supreme chocolatey sweetness but it has a distinct taste that you may want more balls to gobble. The distinct bitterness of matcha can really make chocolate truffles to a higher level. For sure, your family will love these chocolate truffles dearly!
Ingredients
12 oz. of chopped dark chocolate or dark chocolate chips
1 tsp. of vanilla extract
¾ cup of heavy cream
½ tsp. of matcha powder plus matcha to coat
unsalted chopped pistachios to coat
Instructions
- In a medium heat-proof mixing bowl, place chocolate and vanilla and set aside.
- In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, heat cream and swirl occasionally until steaming hot and simmering along the edges. Pour over the chocolate and whisk until all the chocolate is melted or for about 3 minutes. Whisk in ½ teaspoon of matcha powder. Refrigerate until firm or about 2 to 4 hours. You can leave it in the refrigerator overnight.
- Scoop 1 tablespoon portion of the chocolate mixture and roll into balls. Roll the balls in the remaining matcha or pistachios. Refrigerate until serving.
Notes
- Matcha dark chocolate truffles should be stored in your fridge until you are serving them. Be sure that you coated all your truffles adequately with crushed pistachio and matcha powder before storing them in one container. This will prevent the truffles to stick with each other.
