Quick Berry Sorbet

There is nothing better to beat the summer heat than having a nice cool treat. I know the first thing that comes to mind is ice cream or even smoothies. But have you ever thought of sorbet?

Ice cream, whatever the flavor is, is an excellent summer treat. There is no question about that. But looking at the nutritional value, we all know that ice cream has not-so-healthy ingredients. Most ice creams are made with full-fat milk as well as double cream, which means high calories.

Is there a healthier alternative? If you are health conscious, then I suggest you go for sorbet instead.

What is sorbet in the first place? This cool treat is basically made with water and sugar mixed with fruit puree. It is lower in fat and calories than ice cream, plus it’s so much easier to make even at home!

So today, let us take a look at how to make Quick Berry Sorbet. We all know how healthy berries are and there are lots of them out there – strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, cranberries, you name it!

If you want a sweet clean-eating treat, then this Quick Berry Sorbet would the perfect choice. You can utilize any berries that your heart desire. They can be frozen or raw. Either way, your sorbet dessert would be soooooo good. It’s an excellent treat during the summertime or even at any time of the year when you are craving something sweet and cold.

I know some berries, if not all of them, are seasonal. But don’t worry, as I said earlier, you can use frozen berries. They are super affordable anyway, plus they are already pre-washed.

You can find them in grocery stores. And if you want to buy in bulk, you can always get them from Costco or any bulk supplier. It’s good if you always have them in stock because that allows you to make sorbet anytime you feel like it.

The sweetness of your sorbet actually depends on how sweet you like it to be. You can add more honey or you can even skip it if you wish to.
